QQQ pulled back 8.6% from its June high of $746 and reached deeply oversold Stochastic territory (K: 12.2) while the 200-day MA at $643 remained firmly intact. With broad market breadth at cycle highs (69.4% of S&P stocks above 50-day MA), the weakness reads as a tech-specific rotation rather than systemic risk — setting up a tactical mean-reversion bounce toward the 50-day MA at $717.
Catalysts to Watch
QQQ declined 7.4% from its June 30 closing high of $736 over four weeks, broke below the 50-day MA ($717), and touched an intraday low of $675.95 on July 27 — pushing the Stochastic oscillator to deeply oversold levels (K: 12.2, D: 9.8) and RSI to 36.7, approaching the 35-threshold that typically marks tactical exhaustion in bullish-regime markets.
