Investment Thesis
ARKK has broken below both its 50-day ($78.13) and 200-day ($77.90) moving averages in quick succession, and both MAs are now converging into a tight resistance band just 2–3% above current price. While the broad market remains healthy (63.6% of S&P 500 stocks above their 50-day MAs), ARKK's persistent relative weakness vs SPY signals ETF-specific distribution — setting up a short on any failed bounce into the $77–79 resistance zone.
Catalysts to Watch
ARKK rolled over from its early-July peak of $83–84 and broke decisively below both the 50-day ($78.13) and 200-day ($77.90) MAs, closing at $76.03 — now 17.8% off its 52-week high — while the ARKK/SPY relative strength ratio simultaneously breached its own 50-day and 200-day MAs on a rolling decline.
